Job Description

A commercial lines account manager will be responsible for building relationships with clients and service the accounts after a sales producer has sold a piece of business.  A qualified candidate will possess the industry knowledge to effectively communicate with clients and serve their insurance needs.

Training At A Glance

First 3 Months: 

  • You will meet the team.
  • Learn our account management system, Applied Epic.
  • Receive Training over our main carrier portals. 
  • Receive Training on additional tools used to help service our accounts.

At 4-6 months:

  • Be Established with the office team.
  • Learn the verbiage used by various carriers.
  • Become familiar with our carrier underwriters. 

At 1-year: 

  • You will be well established with the team, the clients, and the carriers.
  • Have advanced knowledge of insurance sales and service.
  • Increased skill sets and confidence in the office. 

Salary: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating, and compliance requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
  • Provide ongoing support to producers as needed.
  • Assess and identify the wants and needs of your customer(s) over the phone.

Requirements

  • 3 years minimum experience as an account manager or 5 years as a CSR
  • Active Property and Casualty Insurance Agent License
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
