Job Description

Our office is quickly growing and we are looking for the right fit to join our agency team and help make a difference in the customer experience for the ministries we help service. 

The Office Assistant position will involve answering multiple phone lines, providing customer service to agency customers, collecting and gathering data to update client files with appropriate contact information, drafting letters & reports, and other additional clerical duties as directed by the agency owner or associates.

Training At A Glance

First 3 Months: 

  • You will meet the team.
  • Learn our account management system, Applied Epic.
  • Receive Training over our main carrier portals. 
  • Receive Training on additional tools used to help service our accounts.

At 4-6 months:

  • Be established with the office team.
  • Be comfortable with answering/calling clients over the phone and communicating through emails.
  • Be familiar with inputting data into Applied and creating activities with little to no guidance. 
  • Start taking on more administrative projects related to data entry tasks for client policies.

At 1-year: 

  • You will be well established with the team, the clients, and the carriers.
  • Have advanced knowledge of insurance sales and service.
  • Increased skill sets and confidence in the office. 
  • Be ready for the next promotion. 

Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide exceptional customer service through email communications and phone calls.
  • Complete Evidence of Insurance requests.
  • Verify and document customer contacts such as phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses in Applied Epic.
  • Answer/return all incoming phone calls in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
  • Notify staff members of all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within a specified timeframe.

 

Requirements

 

  • Proficiency in multi-task, follow-thru, and follow-up.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Great Customer Service Skills.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • No insurance experience is required but must be willing to learn and adapt to business needs.
