Job Description

Farmers Insurance - Chicago District Headquarters is currently seeking qualified candidates for our new Agency Development Program. If you have always dreamed of owning and operating your own business, this is the opportunity for you! This Agency Development Program is designed to provide individuals an opportunity to grow their skills and business knowledge to become a Farmers® agency owner while working for an existing Farmers® agency owner. The candidate will learn from an experienced industry professional as well as have access to the award-winning University of Farmers® training program that is designed to help enhance their knowledge and introduce them to tools that will help them grow as business owners when they acquire their own Farmers® agency. When the candidate meets all applicable eligibility requirements, they will have the opportunity to become an agency owner through the Retail Agency program or Acquisition program.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • Prospects for new business by following sales leads generated from referrals, networking, marketing, cold-calling, and lead databases.
  • Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
  • Develop insurance quotes, makes sales presentations, and closes sales.
  • Educate clients on the insurance policies that best suit their needs
  • Presents and explains insurance policy options based upon prospective client needs and their personal goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Great at building rapport and relationships
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Reliability and commitment to success
  • If not currently licensed, must be willing to obtain Property & Casualty and  Life, Accident & Health insurance licenses
  • Previous sales experience
  • Pass Background Review (No felonies)
