Job Description

NOTE:  This employment opportunity is not with MAIA, but with its member agencies located in the South Coast region of MA. Nearly every independent insurance agency employs one or more Personal Lines Customer Service Representatives, and several agencies in the South Coast area have openings.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in beginning and building a new career in the insurance industry as a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative for a local independent insurance agency. The term Personal Lines refers to the types of insurance sold to the public, such as homeowners and auto insurance.

Successful candidates must be:

  • Motivated and customer-focused, have a positive teamwork mentality, and a strong work ethic. We will teach insurance skills.
  • Willing and interested in learning new skills, new computer applications, and ways to provide exemplary customer service to agency clients.
  • Comfortable with and skilled at talking with and helping customers in person and by phone.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work throughout the day.
  • Experienced with computers and technology, and able to learn new software systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Willingness, if required, to obtain a MA Property and Casualty Insurance License 
  • A background check will be required prior to employment
