The Kansas Insurance Department was established by the Kansas Legislature in 1871. The major functions of the Department are to regulate and review companies for financial solvency and regulatory compliance, educate consumers, assist consumers, and license producers selling insurance products in the state.
We have a position open for a Professional Development and Events Manager. This position is responsible for effective administration and oversight of the events and educational offerings for the association. An integral part of the team, this high-energy problem-solver will manage the planning and execution of current events and insurance education offerings in a creative and fiscally responsible way. This individual will build positive relationships with our members and find opportunities to add value in their professional development while growing revenue. Current KAIA networking events include Rural and Small Agents Conference, Leadership & Development Conference, Legislative Day, President’s Classic Event, Young Agents Annual Conference along with approximately 20 stand-alone education classes. This position is based in our Topeka office with the potential to work remotely several days a week.
