Job Description

**This is a part-time position (20 hours/week).**

We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. Candidates should be able to assist management and IIANC's Member Experience Department staff by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail and email, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.

To be successful as the Member Experience Dept. Administrative Assistant, candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate. They should always be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. Administrative Assistants must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, Administrative Assistants should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.

Salary Range: $10.00 - $12.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • Handle general office tasks such as filing, scanning, generating reports/spreadsheets and presentations, mailings, invoicing, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies
  • Assist with association database maintenance (data entry, reports and reconciliations)
  • Assist with conference and event preparation (name badges, registrations, invoicing, etc.)
  • Support membership recruitment and engagement (processing membership applications, onboarding activities, etc.)
  • Support communications initiatives (assist with email marketing, coordinate signups for outreach projects, etc.)
  • Miscellaneous administrative assistance with expense reports, booking appointments, travel scheduling, etc.    
  • Provide reception desk support as needed

Requirements

  • Prior administrative or office work experience required.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization 
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
