Job Description

The External Acquisition Agent Program is designed for capitalized entrepreneurs seeking an opportunity to acquire their own Farmers® agency. This Acquisition Agent Program may also offer up to a 36-month bonus opportunity.

We are seeking professionals to become a Farmers Insurance agent in the Bay Area. We understand that it takes time to build a small business and be able to develop the necessary skills and understanding, to excel in the insurance industry. We provide our Farmers Insurance agents with ongoing training and support on their entire journey. 

Insurance Licensing: Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses are required, prior to full-time agent appointment. If you are not licensed, we will help you get your licenses, Cost-free!
 

 

Salary: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

  • Immediate return on investment, after purchase of the book of business
  • Residual income from the book of business and all new business sales

  • Signing Bonus: Up to $5,000 bonus following full-time retail agency appointment.
  • Monthly Lead Program: Up to $500 per month in lead opportunity credits(if program qualification goals are met).
  • Monthly Bonus: Based on monthly new business and production.
  • Annual Bonus: Based on 12-month new business and production for three years.

    *Retail bonus opportunities are in addition to commissions

Training and Onboarding:

  • New agent training program from the University of Farmers ®
  • Full time agent business plan review
  • Monthly District trainings for New Stores

  • Demonstrated success driving business results (not limited to insurance or financial services)
  • Strong track record of professional success; ideally in external sales, business ownership or management roles
  • Financial ability to begin and sustain a business

Requirements

Farmers Insurance requirements:

  1. Insurance Licensing: Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses are required, prior to full-time agent appointment. If you are not licensed, we will help you get your licenses, Cost-Free!!!
  2. Complete University of Farmers training
  3. Set and schedule appointments with prospective clients, on a weekly basis
  4. Discover and Identify client needs, then recommend appropriate insurance products
  5. Establish client relationships and follow up with them in a timely manner, to provide exceptional and extraordinary customer service
  6. Meet monthly quoting and sales goals to sustain agency growth
