Job Description

Our office is rapidly growing and we are looking to train the right individual to fit right into our company. We are currently seeking to fulfill a full-time position. Our Customer Service Representative will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service to our current clients and new prospects when they call in for assistance. The position will involve answering multiple phone lines, receiving and processing insurance payments for existing customers, drafting letters & reports, and other additional clerical duties as directed by the agent or associates.

Insurance industry or agency experience and knowledge is required.

Salary: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Process customer policy change requests.
  • Secure all Trailing Documents from customers.
  • Handle all incoming claim calls from customers.
  • Complete Evidence of Insurance requests.
  • Develop new Financial Services opportunities.
  • Document each customer contact in management system.
  • Take premium payments from customers.
  • Ask each customer for referrals and explain our referral program.
  • Verify phone numbers, addresses and email addresses with each customer contact and update customer information.
  • Answer incoming phone calls on the first ring.
  • Return all phone messages promptly.
  • Maintain client relationships with follow up phone calls.
  • Claims follow up calls.
  • Informs customers of promotions and new or upgraded products using prepared scripts
  • Follow up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to queries, solicit further sales, and solve or refer problems
  • Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet prospective customers
  • Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty
  • Responds to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within specified timeframe

Requirements

  • Obtain a Property and Casualty State Insurance License.
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  • A property & casualty license is preferred but will train good individual.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Follow through and exceed current and prospective client expectations.
  • Problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • Be able to obtain or currently possess a property & casualty insurance license
  • Responds to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within specified timeframe
  • Ability to obtain or posses an active Life & Health Insurance license
