Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, self-driven, natural born salesperson with a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. As a Licensed Insurance Sales Representative you will be part of a team that is helping to grow the revenue of the office by offering products that people need for their security and peace of mind. Our newest Licensed Insurance Sales Representative will pursue and respond to the requests and needs of prospects and current clients who need insurance. As a Licensed Insurance Sales Representative you will be trained to act as a consultant for businesses and families, evaluating needs and recommending the most appropriate means of meeting those needs.

We are a locally owned and operated Farmers Insurance agency. We sell and service Auto, Home, Life, Small Business, Specialty and other lines of insurance throughout California. We are a small but growing agency that offers benefits, flexibility, and a great long-term career for sales- and service-minded people. In 2020 our agency was rated in the top 10% of Northern California agencies by overall production. We were rated within the top 5% of Northern California agencies and #1 within our district by commercial insurance production.

Salary: $2,500.00 - $10,000.00 per month

Responsibilities

  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
  • Develops insurance quotes, makes sales presentations, and closes sales.
  • Maintain knowledge of product lines.
  • Prospects for new business by following sales leads generated from referrals, networking, marketing, cold-calling, and lead databases.
  • Presents and explains insurance policy options based upon prospective client needs and their personal goals.

Requirements

  • Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Previous work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish is beneficial.
  • Be able to obtain or currently possess a Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance license.
  • Familiarity with Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Office Products a plus.
