Job Description

Come join the award-winning Farmers Insurance team at the Darlene Warren agency! We are seeking a passionate, self-driven, natural born salesperson with a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. As Customer Service and Sales Representative (CSSR), you will be part of a team that is helping to grow the revenue of the agency by offering products that people need for their security and peace of mind. You will pursue and respond to the requests and needs of prospects and current clients. As CSSR, you will also be trained to act as a consultant for businesses and families, evaluating needs and recommending the most appropriate solution for meeting those needs.

This is not a remote position and will be inside our agency. Candidates must have customer service and sales experience in professional office or in a retail setting. Need to have the ability to work in a team environment, and an excellent professional telephone presence. Must be able to pass state insurance license exam in time and meet continuing education requirements (We will help you with this).

Responsibilities

  • Prospects for new business by following sales leads generated from referrals, networking, marketing, cold-calling, and lead databases.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of our products and help them make informed decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to generate referrals and foster repeat business.
  • Develop insurance quotes, makes sales presentations, and closes sales.
  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of sales or marketing experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer technical skills is required
  • Ability to quickly get insurance licenses which we will help with and cover
  • Must be awesome at opening doors, building rapport and getting appointments from a cold start
  • Strong desire to win – if friendly rivalries with your team/colleagues is your thing, you will be rewarded for your results
  • Bonus offered if fully licensed with OR State Life & Health and Property & Casualty
