Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Contacting potential clients, utilizing existing client cross-sell lists, contact calling, and optimizing Marketing-Generated Leads.
  • Demonstrate active listening, build rapport, and execute strong sales tactics when engaging with customers.
  • Creating and advising personalized insurance proposals based on the needs of the client.
  • Managing client appointment calls set by Marketing Leads.
  • Providing professional consultations with clients for their insurance needs.
  • Effectively identifying other needs in client conversations so we can connect with our other departments to assist (i.e.: Life, Benefits, Title, Business).
  • Proactively networking and creating their own Sales opportunities.
  • Meeting and exceeding Sales production quotas each month.
  • Be a resource for previous sales clients with insurance claims to solidify trust and help connect them with carrier claims or our service team as needed.
  • Multi-Line accounts consistently and effectively to increase policy lines by account.
  • Meet and maintain Sales Department close ratio quotas.
  • Follow Departmental policies and procedures for sales per company standards.
  • The primary responsibility of our personal lines agent is to support our clients and provide favorable service outcomes by solving our clients’ insurance problems and exceeding their service expectations.    
  • As the insurance expert, your role is to review our clients’ situations and make recommendations to provide the right coverage for them, based on their needs, at the best price we can deliver. 
  • Every interaction with our clients is an opportunity to shine.  While we seek productivity and efficiency, you can never spend too much time with a client to achieve a positive end result for them.  Our clients work with us because they trust us and we encourage building relationships with our clients.   
  • In an effort to assist our clients you will be processing payments, making policy changes, making coverage and policy recommendations, quoting multiple carriers, identifying the best solutions and issuing new policies.

A Successful Person in This Role Will Exhibit:

  • Proven successful Sales experience in meeting sales goals, advising clients of coverages, and strong close ratios.
  • Good comprehension of insurance products and coverages. Preference to Independent Agent experience.
  • Ability to work with computers and basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent skills in communication, active listening, sales process and proposal presentation. Sales is, first and foremost, a PEOPLE business.  
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships to solidify retention and generate multi-line referrals.
  • Ability to collaborate and work together as a team.
  • Ability to take initiative, be pro-active and be solutions focused for clients.
  • Have a coachable attitude. On our team, we proactively coach and give feedback. You will be role playing to grow and improve skills. Attitude is key to success on our team.
  • Be energetic, driven and results focused: Sales is about generating production.

Requirements

Experience and Additional Competencies:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in s Personal Lines Insurance role. Preference for Independent Agency experience.
  • Experience working with CRM systems.
  • Working knowledge of all personal lines insurance, insurance agency operations, coverages, rates, markets and applicable insurance laws/codes/regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, positive, helpful, client-focused and professional attitude.

Required:

  • Must possess Property & Casualty license
  • Take a Myers Briggs assessment or DISC Assessment
  • Highschool degree, preferred Bachelor’s Degree
