Job Description

We are presently looking to add a leader to our service department with a passion for automotive and a drive to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. The perfect candidate will be self motivated, reliable and have a desire to train, be up to date and an expert in the automotive field. A successful service advisor will learn and be able to communicate to customers the cause and need for diagnosis, repairs and factory recommended maintenance for Chrysler vehicles. Salary: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Answer phones and schedules customers appropriately based on technician and service department staffing.

— Greet customers and update their profile in their file to be sure address, phone, email and all contact information is up to date and allow us the ability to contact them regarding their vehicles.

— Fully detail customer concerns, explain the process and the 27 point vehicle inspection as well as that all repairs will require prior customer authorization before any work is done.

— Stay in constant communication with the automotive technician, customer and service manager regarding the status of the vehicle, diagnostic and repair status.

— Look up and assess proper labor and confirm all required parts required for vehicle repairs.

— Understand and prepare vehicle quotes and document all technician notes onto a customer's repair order.

— Present completed quotes and repair orders for authorization in person and over the phone professionally and thoroughly to customers.

— Once a repair is completed by the technician, verify the repair by confirming that the customers concern has been addressed and is no longer present.

— Solicit 100% positive feedback in online reviews including Google, Facebook and Chrysler (FCA) email surveys.

— Follow all company policies and procedures and communicate effectively with management and the sales department as well as customers and technicians.

  • Organize and assign work to technicians appropriately.
  • Provide updates to customers during their visit either in person or over the phone to let them know the status of their vehicles service during their visit. 

Requirements

— A valid and clean NY state driver license.

— Have an outgoing customer friendly personality.

— A drive and passion to help customers with their service needs.

— 3 years of service writing experience.                                        

— Chrysler experience preferred but not necessary.                       

— Superior communication and customer service skills                  

— Ability to work a set schedule which includes nights and weekends due to the demand of business and customers needs.

  • Have and maintain reliable transportation, being able to report to work on time for your shift as assigned by management.
