The Protégé Agent program is the premier program for perspective Farmers agents looking to be small business owners.

As a protégé you will learn the ins and outs of the insurance insurance industry under a well-established Farmers agent who will as your mentor, while earning a competitive salary plus the opportunity for uncapped commission earning.

During this six-to-twelve-month process, you will get paid training to earn your insurance licenses for the state of Oregon and go through the award-winning University of Farmers training program. Once you have completed your training and have been appointed with Farmers, you will be able to start earning commission and work toward your protégé sales goals.

Once you have met all your goals, you will have the opportunity to open your own retail store without the required capital.  company.

Salary: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Obtaining your state insurance licenses – Property & Casualty / Life & Health.
• Insurance policy sales – auto, home, small business, life, etc.
• Utilize prospect management & client service technology / tools.
• Staffing for success – performance management & incentives.
• System and process implementation and improvement.

Requirements

• Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
• Create relationships from a cold start.
• Previous work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing.
