Job Description

As a Life Insurance Agent, your primary responsibility is to sell life insurance policies to individuals and businesses. You will work closely with clients to assess their insurance needs, explain policy options, and provide recommendations tailored to their financial goals and circumstances. Your goal is to help clients secure their financial future by providing them with suitable life insurance coverage.

Salary: $36,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

  1. Prospect and generate leads through various channels such as networking, referrals, cold calling, and marketing campaigns.
  2. Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand clients' financial situations, goals, and risk tolerance.
  3. Educate clients on different types of life insurance policies, including term life, whole life, universal life, and variable life insurance.
  4. Present insurance solutions to clients and recommend policies that best fit their needs and budget.
  5. Assist clients in completing applications and underwriting requirements.
  6. Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  7. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and policy details.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, product changes, and regulatory updates.
  9. Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and other professionals to provide comprehensive insurance solutions.
  10. Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the agency or insurance company.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in sales, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  4. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  5. Knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations, and underwriting processes.
  6. Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  7. Proficiency in computer applications and CRM software.
  8. Willingness to obtain necessary licenses and certifications required by state regulations.
  9. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
