Job Description

The Cal Smith Farmers Insurance Agency is hiring a full-time Insurance Sales Representative. This position also acts as a training platform within the Farmers Insurance Group's Protege Agent program. If corporate benchmarks and goals are accomplished, the Protege Agent can qualify to take over an existing agency within two years.

As a successful agency for the Farmers Insurance Group, the Cal Smith Insurance Agency is backed by the service, support and training of one of the largest insurance companies in the country. The Insurance Sales Representative position will also receive marketing support to assist in expanding his/her customer base. This position's pay structure includes a base salary plus commissions.

Salary: $30,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Sell or produce a business that enables the agency to prosper and grow
• Act as an insurance consultant for businesses and families
• Evaluate needs and recommend the most appropriate means of meeting those needs
• Properly network to put yourself in a position to receive referrals and recommendations

Requirements

While a degree in business or a related field would be helpful, it is not required. More importantly, successful producers express:

Insurance licensing will be required but paid training will be provided if the selected candidate isn't previously licensed.
