This is a paid internship and training opportunity; at the end of the internship period (3 weeks) you will be assessed for an opportunity to become an employee and Licensed Insurance Agent with the D&W Allstate Agency.

Responsibilities

Licensing

  • In advance of start, enroll in the suggested online Texas Property and Casualty General Lines course (link provided after interview)
  • 4 hours will be allotted per day for study
  • Take Practice exams
  • Schedule and pass State Exam
  • Register Finger Prints

Marketing

  • 4 hours will be allotted per day for marketing
  • Contact prospective customers through our digital phone system
  • Engage prospective customers, verify basic information, and prequalify
  • Transfer customer to a licensed agent or schedule a call back, as appropriate
  • Track all forwarded and callback customers in Excel

After Internship Period, if hired, your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect for potential new customers via cold and warm outbound calls as well as answering inbound transfers from marketing
  • Develop insurance quotes, make?sales presentations, and close sales
  • Establish client relationships and follow up with clients, as needed
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly client support. (support can include responding to inquiries)
  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day
  • Develop new financial service opportunities with both existing and new clients

Requirements

  • Willing to obtain a Property and Casualty General Lines License from the state of TX
  • Some sales experience is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated successful track record of meeting sales goals and quotas preferred
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and listening
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication?skills
  • Must be motivated and determined
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web based Customer Management Systems preferred
